The next edition of 4YFN @MWC17 will introduce Women4Tech (W4T), an important new programme designed to address the persistent gender gap in the mobile industry.
W4T comprises a series of events and activities over the four days of Mobile World Congress, the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry, organised by the GSMA and held in the Mobile World Capital Barcelona, 27 February – 2 March 2017.
A central element of the W4T programme @4FYN is the exclusive W4T Hack_D_Gap Global challenge.
Beyond the challenge, W4T also includes a series of exciting new activities @4YFN such as the W4T Interactive Workshops; the W4T Special Recognition Awards; and inspiring Panels Discussions and Keynote panellists.
The Hack_D_Gap challenge encourages entrepreneurs, startups, and coders, from all over the world, eager to present their innovative solutions towards gender diversity and gender equality in the tech industry. There’s a world of challenges that need diverse teams and innovative thinkers to tackle them.
Women4Tech encourages global participation and cutting edge ideas focused on creating social impact for this global challenge. What better way than to tap into the startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem! So, if you have a passion, an idea and a solution that will disrupt gender imbalance and improve society’s equality within the technology sector, get involved, get coding and let’s hack that gap!
From 27 February to 1 March finalists will showcase their solutions at 4YFN at their own private booth.
On 28 February finalists will pitch their project on stage to a wealth of investors and industry experts who will select the W4T Hack_D_Gap winner.
